An MECC Delegation Visiting His Beatitude Patriarch Raphaël Bedros XXI Minassian on the Occasion of Christmas

The Secretary General of the Middle East Council of Churches Dr. Michel Abs headed a delegation from the MECC General Secretariat, in a visit to His Beatitude Patriarch Raphaël Bedros XXI Minassian, Catholicos Patriarch of the Armenian Catholic Church of Cilicia, and MECC President for the Catholic Family. The visit was held on Monday 26 December 2022, at the Armenian Catholic Patriarchate in Achrafieh, Beirut.

The delegation included the MECC Associate Secretary General Mrs. Seta Hadeshian, and the Director of Theological and Ecumenical Department Father Dr. Antoine Al Ahmar.

During the meeting, Dr. Michel Abs extended his greetings to His Beatitude Patriarch Minassian on the occasion of Christmas and New Year. He wished him good health, wellness and success in his pastoral care of the Armenian Catholic Church, asking God to bless and protect him. His Beatitude was also briefed on the latest updates of the MECC work, as well as the programs which the Council is planning to implement through its various departments.

From his end, His Beatitude Patriarch Minassian also wished to the MECC a joyful and blessed season. He prayed for the success of the MECC Ecumenical and humanitarian mission, and for peace and justice amidst conflicts and crises in Armenia and the region.
