MECC Supports 9th Grade Students in Aleppo and Rural Damascus

In the framework of its efforts to support students to continue their education, MECC implemented remedial classes for 9th grade students in Aleppo and Rural Damascus Governorates.

The classes addressed all necessary information in the curriculum in order to improve the academic level of students to enable them pass the 9th grade official exams successfully.

The 2.5 months course targeted 485 students in Rural Damascus and 115 students in Aleppo.

One of the beneficiaries from Rural Damascus Course said,” I needed assistance to understand the curriculum. I was facing many difficulties to understand many major subjects and because my mother was not able to pay for private teachers or institutes; I was seriously considering leaving school and starting learning women hairdressing in order to have a profession in the future, though my dream is to study medicine. The remedial classes changed my life as they helped me return to school and strengthened my determination to succeed in achieving my dream of becoming a doctor.”
