Relief & Development Programs

MECC’s relief and development work focuses on providing critical support and upholding human dignity for internally displaced persons (IDPs), refugees and host communities affected by the Syrian and Iraqi crises. Partnering with international and local partners, our program areas currently include:

Waste Management Campaign in Dara’a Syria

Within MECC “Cash for Work Program”, a Waste Management campaign was implemented in Dara’a responding to an urgent request received from the people of the region to remove the accumulated wastes from the area. The issue has become alarming, affecting the life of the residents and increasing risks of contamination and contagious diseases.

نفّذ مجلس كنائس الشرق الأوسط حملة نظافة في منطقة درعا في سوريا من ضمن فعاليات برنامجه الإغاثي والتنموي “الأجر مقابل العمل” Cash for Work Program.


Tuition Fees Support Program in Syria

One of the major goals of the MECC is to improve the psycho-social wellbeing of children affected by the crisis, through training teachers in trauma resilience strategies.
