MECC Calls For Justice in Egypt Following 26 May Attack Against Bus Of Coptic Christians in Minya

BEIRUT, Lebanon

The Middle East Council of Churches Secretary General, Fr. Michel Jalakh,  wrote to Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria & Patriarch of All Africa on the Holy Apostolic See of Saint Mark the Evangelist of the Coptic Orthodox Church of Alexandria, to express solidarity with the Coptic leader and community in Egypt, which has endured intensifying and persistent attacks in recent years.

Fr. Jalakh called for justice and pledged the support of the Council to the Pope and the Coptic community as they seek to heal from this most recent tragedy.
